VALVE COVER RACING RULES

 STOCK CLASS
Use American automobiles or light truck gas engine (No diesels).
Stock in appearance, stock gasket surface (no wings, etc.)
Weights must be securely attached and non-moveable (NO sliding weights)
Maximum width 10 inches, Length 30 inches
Maximum weight 5 pounds

Maximum wheel diameter 5” (CD’s allowed)

Modified Class

American automobile or light truck gas engine (No diesels)
Aftermarket valve cover allowed tall or short style
Altered gasket surface allowed, sectioned, chopped, pinched, etc.
Can be steel, aluminum, cast, or carbon fiber
Maximum width 10 inches, Length 30 inches
Maximum weight 10 pounds, fixed (NO sliding weight)

Maximum wheel diameter 8”

 Valve Covers

NO engines or motors are allowed. GRAVITY power only
Leading edge of racer must contact track Starting pin (pin extends 2” above track)
All entries must be officially weighed in
Valve covers must pass a technical inspection for weight and size
Valve covers must have a minimum of 3 wheels
Individual entries are allowed in one class only
Wheels – Radio controlled car wheels must run tires
*blinking lighted wheels allowed based on class diameter                

 Track

Wood Ramp
Gravity Feed one lane for distance
Ramp starts at 4 foot high off the surface
Lane is 11” inside width with 2” high rails
Ramp slopes out 10.5 foot to surface
Eliminations will proceed after time trials and qualifying runs completed.

 General Information

Entrants are responsible for staging their own Valve Cover entry
Racing is open to kids of all ages, one official entry per person, after time trials.
Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification (AND heavy shame)
Organizers do not accept responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property

Decisions of the Organizers will be final 

Protests will NOT be acknowledged
Awards MAY be made for People’s Choice, Rusty Wheels, Competition 
Anything NOT specifically PROHIBITED by above rules is LEGAL
Anything NOT specifically REQUIRED by above rules is OPTIONAL
